Universal Ki … and Eggs
So, one of the many beautiful things that happens on this island is you can eat lots of food that was grown within 50 miles of your kitchen. (Often closer, like, outside the back door, but that’s not the whole point of my story today.)
We’ve had the good fortune to be eating eggs from organic, free range chickens. They’re SOOO good! But that’s not my whole point either. These eggs aren’t from just any old organic, free range chickens…they’re from the farm of our Aikido instructor, Godwin Esaki, who knows he commands all the energy (Ki) of the universe, and regularly practices such command.
Now. Here’s a picture of one of his eggs (on the left – did I need to tell you that?) standing beside a store-bought organic egg.
Think there’s anything to this Ki thing? Think there’s anything powerful about Kaua’i? :)
(And a thanks goes out here, too, to Jack, for taking this picture for us. Hey, Jack, take a bow!)
